Benefits.Gov – LIHEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Program)

Arizona Utility Program: Utility assistance programs available from the Federal and state governments and from utility companies are coordinated to help low-income households meet their energy needs. The Community Services Administration (CSA) subcontracts with community agencies to administer the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Utility Repair, Replacement and Deposit Program (URRD). Through these programs services provided are utility deposits and payments. Weatherization of homes is conducted and certain appliances can be repaired or replaced. There are also wide arrays of utility discount programs, which are coordinated with these services.

General Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Arizona and you must need financial assistance for home energy costs.

A person who participates or has family members who participate in certain other benefit programs, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or certain needs-tested Veterans benefits may be automatically eligible.

Alabama Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP):
The Low-Income High Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) assists low-income Alabama residents with the high cost of home energy. Funding is provided from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) block grant through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
